Water Pollution
“Now you see under the sea”
People lack knowledge of how important our ocean, seas and river, and they only realize how much they destroyed it when the nature, itself made them see it by natural disasters and arising health diseases. Plastics and unrecyclable waste made by humans are the ones that contributed to water pollution.
People in the challenge area such as near the river in particular are the one who cause more water pollution knowing that they lack waste cycle and awareness of how important proper hygiene is, that may also lead to different health conditions. Different issue arises due to water pollution such as water shortage, and it is a very disturbing issue because water for sanitation, drinking and other stuffs are very important to us.
Now, this project will focus on how to lessen the water pollution by giving awareness and alternative response in handling waste near the river. The people, particularly those who are living near the river will be invited to attend in a one-month clean up drive in their community tackling how to manage waste, proper hygiene and awareness to ocean lives. This project will be called “Now you see under the sea”, one or more representative of each household will be needing in this project. They will be taught of the different ways of waste management such as having 3 garbage bins in their household to avoid throwing garbage in the river and knowing the different effects of improper hygiene to the health and environment. Lastly, they will be joining the clean ups near the river where they are living.
